Policies

Simple rules. Common sense.

A short read. Most of it is what you'd expect from a clean, friendly DIY shop.

Reservations

  • ·Free to reserve online — no card on file required.
  • ·Hourly and day bookings can be made online. Weekly 6-day rates are arranged by phone.
  • ·1-hour minimum booking. Maximum 8 hours per online booking.
  • ·All bookings start and end on the half hour.
  • ·After the first hour, time is billed in 30-minute increments.
  • ·All bookings must end by closing time (6:00 PM). The bay must be clear and tools returned by then.
  • ·The shop is closed Tuesdays.

Cancellations & no-shows

  • ·Cancel free of charge any time before your reservation.
  • ·Repeated no-shows (3+ in 90 days) may forfeit online booking privileges and require a phone reservation going forward.
  • ·If you're running late, please call (419) 704-2146. If we don't hear from you 30 minutes after start time, we may release your bay.

Age, ID, and occupancy

  • ·The primary renter must be 18 or older and present a valid ID.
  • ·A maximum of 3 people is allowed per bay rental unless Cooper approves otherwise.
  • ·Children may only be in the shop with a parent or guardian.

Safety

  • ·Closed-toe shoes required at all times in the shop.
  • ·Eye protection is required when grinding, cutting, or working under a vehicle.
  • ·Lifts may only be operated by Coopers staff or after a brief safety walkthrough on your first visit.
  • ·No smoking, vaping, or open flames anywhere in the shop.
  • ·No alcohol or marijuana is allowed on the property during a rental.

Liability waiver

  • ·All customers must sign the standard shop waiver before working in a bay.
  • ·Coopers is not responsible for damage to your vehicle, parts, or personal property.

Tools & equipment

  • ·Use shop tools as if they were your own — return them clean to where you found them.
  • ·Missing tools or equipment may be charged case-by-case.
  • ·If you break a tool through normal use, let us know right away.
  • ·Bring your own specialty tool if you want a specific brand or calibrated setup guaranteed.

Cleanup

  • ·Sweep your bay and dispose of trash before you leave.
  • ·Used oil and antifreeze go in the labeled drums — never down the drain.
  • ·Leaving a major mess may result in a $100 cleanup charge.

Conduct

  • ·Be respectful to staff and other customers. We're a small shop — community matters.
  • ·No commercial repair work for paying customers without prior arrangement.
  • ·We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone violating these policies.
