Simple rules. Common sense.
A short read. Most of it is what you'd expect from a clean, friendly DIY shop.
Reservations
- ·Free to reserve online — no card on file required.
- ·Hourly and day bookings can be made online. Weekly 6-day rates are arranged by phone.
- ·1-hour minimum booking. Maximum 8 hours per online booking.
- ·All bookings start and end on the half hour.
- ·After the first hour, time is billed in 30-minute increments.
- ·All bookings must end by closing time (6:00 PM). The bay must be clear and tools returned by then.
- ·The shop is closed Tuesdays.
Cancellations & no-shows
- ·Cancel free of charge any time before your reservation.
- ·Repeated no-shows (3+ in 90 days) may forfeit online booking privileges and require a phone reservation going forward.
- ·If you're running late, please call (419) 704-2146. If we don't hear from you 30 minutes after start time, we may release your bay.
Age, ID, and occupancy
- ·The primary renter must be 18 or older and present a valid ID.
- ·A maximum of 3 people is allowed per bay rental unless Cooper approves otherwise.
- ·Children may only be in the shop with a parent or guardian.
Safety
- ·Closed-toe shoes required at all times in the shop.
- ·Eye protection is required when grinding, cutting, or working under a vehicle.
- ·Lifts may only be operated by Coopers staff or after a brief safety walkthrough on your first visit.
- ·No smoking, vaping, or open flames anywhere in the shop.
- ·No alcohol or marijuana is allowed on the property during a rental.
Liability waiver
- ·All customers must sign the standard shop waiver before working in a bay.
- ·Coopers is not responsible for damage to your vehicle, parts, or personal property.
Tools & equipment
- ·Use shop tools as if they were your own — return them clean to where you found them.
- ·Missing tools or equipment may be charged case-by-case.
- ·If you break a tool through normal use, let us know right away.
- ·Bring your own specialty tool if you want a specific brand or calibrated setup guaranteed.
Cleanup
- ·Sweep your bay and dispose of trash before you leave.
- ·Used oil and antifreeze go in the labeled drums — never down the drain.
- ·Leaving a major mess may result in a $100 cleanup charge.
Conduct
- ·Be respectful to staff and other customers. We're a small shop — community matters.
- ·No commercial repair work for paying customers without prior arrangement.
- ·We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone violating these policies.
